Turnouts produced by China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Co., Ltd. (CRHIC), a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited, for the Dhaka-Gandaria railway in Bangladesh started shipment on Feb 14.
The railway is a part of the Bangladesh railway project, which is a key project jointly built by China and Bangladesh under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Various kinds of turnouts with complicated structures are needed in the project, which makes their production difficult.

By surveying the technical conditions and design documents, chief engineers of CRHIC made a highly-targeted manufacturing process, prepared an efficient processing procedure and carried out research on the factors affecting the overall quality index.
In order to improve production efficiency and guarantee on-schedule delivery, CRHIC used its turnout automatic production line, which greatly shortened the production period.
What's more, the MES production system was also adopted to realize accurate and efficient production, which ensured the stability of product quality through a precise and efficient mode.
Throughout the years, CRHIC has exported components of China's high-speed railway to the world. It has supplied various kinds of railway turnout products to railway lines in many countries and regions.
