The world's largest sectional combined rectangular shield pipe jacking machine rolled off the production line on Jan 6 in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province.
It is a major breakthrough in rectangular pipe jacking technology.

Developed by China Railway Hi-Tech Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited, the machine is 11.295 meters wide and 13.55 meters high, and was specially developed for construction of the Shasan Station of Metro Line 12 in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong Province.
Consisting of upper and lower parts, the machine is equipped with multiple cutters and is synergistically controlled with multiple spiral machines. The machine can be used for digging of shallow ground and large cross sections, improving safety and reliability.
