The 39.07-kilometer tunnel, linking Haimen District in Nantong and Taicang in Suzhou, includes a 9,327-meter shield tunnel with a 16.66-meter diameter and maximum water pressure of 0.75 MPa, making it the world’s longest underwater highway shield tunnel.
“Cangyuan” features advanced intelligent systems for autonomous excavation, high-efficiency cutterheads, and real-time safety monitoring, improving productivity and ensuring environmental and operational safety.
